Located in the Fairfax District of Los Angeles, our school has a diverse student population in terms of ethnicity, language, socio-economic status, and learning needs. Our mission is to build a strong academic foundation, inspire life-long learning, promote an understanding and appreciation of oneself and others, and provide a safe child-centered environment.
Established in 1937, the school services the residential community from Crescent Heights to La Brea and from Wilshire to Beverly Blvd.
With 54% Asian (largely Korean), 25% Caucasian, 10% African-American, 9% Latino and 1% Filipino students. In addition, 29% of the students are English Language Learners and 15% qualify for reduced/free lunch.
