This $20,000 grant was awarded to purchase a second play structure on the primary yard with the stipulation that we raise the matching funds.

2007/2008

Denver Foundation – Playground Equipment Matching Grant

Generously, the $10,000 grant has been received with the stipulation that within one year we raise the matching funds – a goal for this year with Kinder Kampaign.  With all day kindergarten starting at Hancock Park School, we had immediate needs for new equipment in the Kinder/Options yard.  In addition, our hopes are to raise enough funds this year to purchase all new benches and trash cans throughout the school campus.

2006/2007

Denver Foundation – Computer Lab Equipment Matching Grant

This $10,000 grant was awarded with the stipulation that within one year we would raise the matching funds. Friends of Hancock Park School helped raise the matching fund through the “March for Math” jogathon in the Spring.  The Computer Lab has been completely revamped and will be up-to-date for the next few years.

Department of Public Works – Art Patio Beautification

Matching Grant

This $7,000 grant was awarded with the stipulation that within one year we would raise the matching funds. Parents donated volunteer time that contributed to the matching grant.  The grant purchased plants, pavers, tables, umbrellas, storage bins and supplies.  Additional funds are needed to complete a mural and overhead awning.  This area is currently being utilized as an outside classroom and a quiet meeting place.
