All of our fundraising activities are planned, coordinated, and operated by our very own parent volunteers. There are many ways you can help us and your involvement is critical to our success and our children’s success!

|Friends of Hancock Park School Board Member||The FoHPS Board meets 4 times a year, and each meeting lasts about an hour. Its members manage the FoHPS organization, to support our wonderful school programs. If you would like to join the Board, you should be able to attend at least 3 of the 4 meetings.|
|Annual Giving Campaign||During the AGC, parent volunteers are needed to assist in the creation of a parent database, and follow up with parents who have not donated via email and via correspondence. Volunteers who assist with this program can choose how much time they volunteer.|
|FoHPS Treasurer||We need a few parents who can assist our treasurer during the Annual Giving Campaign.|
|Harvest Carnival||Parents who can assist in preparing for our annual carnival in the Fall, and who can participate in the setup, day of, and clean up. Parents are asked to donate a minimum of three hours each. We NEED a lot of volunteers in order to have this event. Specified volunteer sign-up categories will be emailed to you prior to the event.|
|Walkathon||Parents are needed to coordinate the walkathon. This includes advertising the walkathon, distributing and collecting the walkathon envelopes/donations, and coordinating the event day-of.|
|Website Design and Maintenance||Parents who can design and update our website. Our website needs to maintain a current calendar of events and information for our families and potential new families. Additional information will need to be posted on the webpage on an as-needed basis.|
|Room Parents||Be a room parent for the school year and support your child’s teacher directly in the classroom, plan special events and help FoHPS reach out to your fellow class parents.|
|Lost and Found||Organize and maintain the lost and found weekly and donate unclaimed items monthly.|
|Welcome Back Coordinator for the Teachers||Volunteer for our Pupil Free Day in August and help coordinate a lunch for HPE teachers and staff. A specific date and details will be emailed prior to the event.|
|First Day of School Volunteers||Assist students and their parents find their class assignment and room location on the morning of the first day of school from 7:15 a.m. until 8:45 a.m.|
|Graphic Design||Parents with graphic design ideas for HPE events.|
|Yearbook||Parents to assist with the creation of a yearbook in coordination with HPE staff. This includes taking and seeking pictures, distributing and processing the order forms and yearbooks. This is a year-long project and it would be helpful if there were multiple volunteers.|
|Beautification||Parents to assist with maintaining our beautiful garden (watering) and the cleanliness of our campus.|
|Community Sponsor Fundraising||Parents to research and outreach to our neighborhood community for fundraising. Volunteers who assist with this program will self-manage their efforts and can choose how much time they can volunteer.|
Other Volunteer Opportunities
|Morning Drop-off Program||Got 20 minutes once a week? Volunteers are needed in the morning between 7:50AM – 8:10AM to assist with curbside drop off. Open the doors with a smile and assist children from the car to the curb. Volunteer one day a week or one day a month. Check with the office if you would like to help.|
